What to Expect

Before Your Session

Your senior session should reflect you — not a pose list. Think about:

• hobbies
• sports & activities
• favorite places
• style (dressy, casual, outdoors, downtown, etc.)

Bring outfits that feel comfortable and confident. Wrinkles, tight fits, or clothes you don’t love always show in photos. Helpful tips:

• Solid colors photograph best, but patterns can be fun in the right setting
• Avoid bright white or neon tops
• Bring layers & accessories
• Consider props that represent you

After your session



Instead of overwhelming you with hundreds of photos, you’ll get to help create your final gallery.

Step 1 — Selection Gallery

Within 3-4 weeks you’ll receive a selection gallery, delivered via Pixieset. These images are lightly edited for color and brightness so you can focus on choosing your favorites. You’ll mark the images you love using the heart icon.

Step 2 — Professional Retouching

After your selections are submitted, I professionally retouch your chosen images, including:

• skin cleanup
• distraction removal
• color finishing
• final polish

This means your delivered images receive much more detailed attention than mass-editing every photo.

Step 3 — Final Delivery

You’ll receive a finished gallery ready for:

• graduation announcements
• social media
• prints
• family keepsakes

This process allows you to:

✔ Get higher quality editing on the images you love most

The Details

Turnaround Time

Selection gallery: 3-4 weeks from photo shoot, unless otherwise arranged

Final gallery: up to 8 weeks after selections submitted

Travel

Locations more than 30 miles from Madison: $25 travel fee

Payment

$75 Session fee reserves your date. Remaining balance will be invoiced with delivery of the final gallery. Payment plans available — just ask!

Add-On Image Pricing

Your session includes professional retouching on a set number of images. Additional images may be purchased after viewing your gallery.

• Single additional image: $15
• 5 images: $45
• 10 images: $85
• 20 images: $160
• Full gallery upgrade: $250

Most families choose only a few extras — but the option is available for a limited time. Galleries will be removed from Pixieset 6 months after delivery. At that time, additional fees may be added for additional image requests.

Image Loss / Equipment Failure

While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety and preservation of your images, unforeseen circumstances such as equipment malfunction, file corruption, theft, or other events beyond the photographer’s control may occasionally occur.

In the unlikely event that images are lost, damaged, or unable to be delivered, the Photographer’s liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the session. When possible, the Photographer will offer a reshoot at no additional cost as an alternative remedy.

The client agrees that this refund or reshoot constitutes full and final compensation, and no further claims may be made. Because senior portraits cannot always be recreated exactly (seasonal locations, haircuts, activities, etc.), the client acknowledges that a reshoot may differ from the original session. 

Images are recorded to professional-grade memory cards and backed up to multiple storage locations after your session to greatly reduce the risk of data loss.
